Vietnamese Firms Announce Dividends, Share Issues Amid Profit Forecasts

HANOI – A wave of corporate actions is sweeping through the Vietnamese market, with numerous listed companies announcing dividend payments and share issuance plans, signaling confidence in their financial outlook.

Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation (HOSE: CTR) on June 12 announced its intention to issue shares for a dividend payment, joining a growing list of firms rewarding investors.

In the financial sector, SSI Securities Corporation has set an ambitious 2026 target for a record consolidated pre-tax profit of approximately VNĐ5.8 trillion on net revenue of VNĐ15.7 trillion (US$595.8 million). The brokerage has also approved a 30% dividend. Similarly, Techcombank (TCB) is planning a significant cash payout exceeding VNĐ7.086 trillion, based on its more than 7.08 billion shares in circulation. At its annual general meeting on April 8 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam International Bank (VIB) also outlined goals for higher profit, dividend payouts, and the completion of Basel III compliance.

Aviation and construction sectors are also seeing robust activity. Vietjet (VJC) unveiled a 20% stock dividend after reporting strong growth in the third quarter of 2025. The airline's consolidated revenue for the first nine months surpassed VNĐ52.76 trillion with a profit over VNĐ2 trillion, a 17% year-on-year increase. Vietjet plans to issue 118.3 million new shares, valued at over VNĐ1.18 trillion (US$44.7 million) at par. Meanwhile, construction giant Coteccons announced cash dividends following a record quarter where its profit after tax more than tripled, marking its highest profitability in nearly seven years.

Other notable announcements include PAN Group's proposal for an additional share issuance, with shareholders set for a 50% total dividend. The group targets VNĐ18 trillion in consolidated net revenue and VNĐ2.01 trillion in pre-tax profit for 2026. Power generator Nhơn Trạch 2 (NT2) is set to disburse nearly US$7.7 million in dividends, with a record date of October 22 and payment on October 31. Stationery firm Thien Long (TLG) will pay a dividend with a final registration date of December 12, ahead of its acquisition by a Japanese group. Even shipping firm VOSCO (VOS) is resuming dividend payments despite facing financial challenges.
