Vietnam's Duy Tan, Cocoon Partner on Sustainable Plastic Packaging

Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with vegan cosmetics brand Cocoon to develop and utilize packaging made entirely from 100% recycled plastic, signaling a push towards greater sustainability in Vietnam's consumer goods sector.

The agreement, signed on June 12, 2026, brings together Duy Tan, its affiliate DUYTAN Recycling, and Y&B Corporation, the owner of the Cocoon brand. The collaboration aims to reduce environmental impact by expanding the production and use of recycled plastic packaging and promoting green consumption within the domestic cosmetics industry.

The signing ceremony took place at Duy Tan’s manufacturing facility in Tan Do Industrial Park, Duc Hoa Commune, Tay Ninh Province. Key representatives included Mr. Suwat P., Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Commercial & Marketing at Duy Tan Plastics; Mr. Le Viet Dong Hieu, Vice Director of Marketing at DUYTAN Recycling; and Mr. Pham Minh Dung, Sales & Marketing Director for Cocoon Vietnam.

Under the terms of the partnership, DUYTAN Recycling will supply the recycled plastic materials, which Duy Tan Plastics will then use to develop and manufacture the packaging. Cocoon, in turn, will implement this sustainable packaging across its product portfolio. The tripartite alliance is expected to accelerate the adoption of circular production models and enhance the value of recycled materials in the market.

This initiative reinforces Duy Tan’s capacity to deliver recycled packaging solutions that meet the stringent quality standards of the cosmetics industry, while supporting local brands on their sustainability journeys.

Cocoon, a Vietnamese vegan cosmetics brand, has a significant domestic presence with products in more than 5,000 retail outlets and is expanding internationally into markets such as Japan and France. The company already uses 100% recycled plastic packaging from Duy Tan for several products, including its Winter Melon Micellar Water, Hau Giang Lotus Micellar Water (1L), and Hau Giang Lotus Facial Cleanser (500ml). Cocoon plans to extend the use of this packaging to other product lines as part of its long-term sustainability strategy.
