Petrovietnam General Services Corporation (HOSE: PET) on June 30 announced it has set a record date for a forthcoming dividend payment and a new stock issuance, joining a growing list of Vietnamese companies moving to reward shareholders and raise capital. The move reflects a broader trend across the Ho Chi Minh City bourse of robust corporate actions signaling confidence in future growth.

The banking sector has been particularly active. An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (UPCoM: ABB) has initiated its capital increase plan by paying a 15% stock dividend to its existing shareholders. Similarly, Techcombank (TCB) is planning a substantial cash dividend payment exceeding VND 7.086 trillion, distributed among its more than 7.08 billion shares in circulation. Vietnam International Bank (VIB), at its April 8 annual general meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, also outlined targets for higher profit, an increased dividend payout, and the completion of Basel III implementation.

Major industrial and financial players are also pursuing ambitious shareholder-focused strategies. SSI Securities Corporation has set a record 2026 profit target, aiming for a pre-tax profit of around VND 5.8 trillion on consolidated net revenue of approximately VND 15.7 trillion (US$595.8 million), while approving a 30% dividend. PAN Group is targeting a 2% rise in consolidated net revenue to VND 18 trillion and has proposed an additional share issuance, with shareholders poised for a 50% total dividend.

Meanwhile, Vietjet (VJC) unveiled a 20% stock dividend following strong third-quarter 2025 growth, which saw its nine-month consolidated revenue surpass VND 52.76 trillion and profit exceed VND 2 trillion, a 17% year-on-year increase. The carrier's stock issuance will involve 118.3 million new shares with a total par value exceeding VND 1.18 trillion (US$44.7 million).

Other notable corporate actions include a cash dividend announcement from construction firm Coteccons following record quarterly profitability that more than tripled year-on-year. Thien Long (TLG) is set to pay a dividend ahead of its acquisition by a Japanese group, with a final registration date of December 12. Power producer Nhon Trach 2 (NT2) will disburse nearly US$7.7 million in dividends, with a record date of October 22 and payment scheduled for October 31.
