Hanoi to Showcase $640B Vision at Major Investment Promotion Conference

Hanoi is set to unveil its ambitious 100-year Capital Master Plan at a major investment promotion conference on June 29, leveraging advanced digital technology to showcase its vision of becoming a $640 billion global city by 2045. The event is expected to draw between 1,000 and 1,200 delegates, including up to 780 domestic and international investors.
A press conference on June 25 detailed a large-scale exhibition at the Hanoi Museum designed to illustrate the plan. The first floor will feature a 7-meter diameter circular scale model with the latest planning boundaries. The fourth floor will host a 1,200 sq.m "special experience space" with large-scale historical panels, a 3D Mapping model demonstrating technical infrastructure and spatial orientation, 3D documentaries, and a trial version of an urban planning information lookup system.
The master plan itself covers a natural area of over 3,359 sq.km and is built on a "multi-tier, multi-layer, multi-polar, and multi-center" development model. It designates the Red River as the primary ecological and cultural landscape axis. To achieve its high-quality-of-life and economic targets, the city has outlined 11 breakthrough solution groups, emphasizing an urban railway system integrated with Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and a commitment to "Net Zero" emissions.
The conference will also mark the official debut of a 360-degree digitized data management system for investment projects. As part of the program, Hanoi is expected to grant investment policy decisions and registration certificates for key projects and sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with major global corporations, providing a comprehensive overview of investment potential.
