Hanoi Targets High-Quality Capital with Major Investment Summit on June 29

Hanoi is set to host a major investment promotion conference on June 29 at the National Convention Centre, where it will unveil the capital's master plan with a 100-year vision. The event, officially titled the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference, is designed to attract high-quality capital and open new development opportunities for the city.
Lê Trung Hiếu, deputy director of the Hà Nội Department of Finance, said the conference will introduce the capital's strategic development directions. It will also present specific mechanisms and policies aligned with the Politburo's Resolution 02-NQ/TW, the 2026 Law on the Capital City, and new socio-economic development programmes.
During the event, city authorities are scheduled to grant investment policy decisions and registration certificates to 20 exemplary projects. These initiatives span transportation infrastructure, industrial parks, urban development, social housing, environment, science and technology, and foreign investment attraction. Additionally, city leaders expect to sign approximately 48 memorandums of understanding with domestic and international partners.
To facilitate investor engagement, the conference will leverage digital technology. Multilingual virtual reality experience spaces, integrated digital maps, 3D models, and chatbot systems will be used to showcase investment projects and provide rapid access to information.
Vũ Đại Thắng, Chairman of the Hà Nội People's Committee, described the conference as having special significance, noting it comes as the city enters a new phase of development guided by Politburo resolutions and major approved planning schemes. He emphasized the event's importance not only for Hanoi but for the entire northern region and the country, as it aims to attract investors with strong financial and technological capabilities.
The chairman has directed relevant departments to prepare implementation plans immediately following the conference to ensure cooperation commitments are realised swiftly. He stated that the event's success will be measured not just by signed agreements but, more importantly, by the effectiveness of project implementation, which will contribute to creating new growth momentum for the capital's socio-economic development.
